Got a report that bikers are using the Horse Treking car park They don't have alot of room, so can you please use the bike car park up the road. If you have a hang up about someone breaking into your car then park down at Helistar Helicopters / Huka cafe and get a coffee and get on your bike.
We have a new entry track so you can bike onto the Tourist Trap. Entry is under the trees to the left of the Crown Forest sign check it out You can buy the latest maps at Huka cafe

Bike Taupo has approached Opus regarding the issue with the off-ramp on Control Gates Bridge and we are working to getting it sorted.
A big thank you to Transit NZ and everyone involved in building the cycle lane, which made the Control Gates Bridge a lot safer for cyclists.

This week Bike Taupo has launched an advertising campaign targeting motorists on our local urban and rural roads. The campaign will feature a recommended distance between a cyclist and motorist when passing using newspaper and temporary signage display.
