Submission to the TDC Walking and Cycling Strategy
On behalf of the Bike Taupo Advocacy Group I would like to support the Taupo District Council Walking and Cycling Strategy.
We would also like to support the submission from Cycle Action Waikato, with the suggested improvements and additions to the strategy, in order to clarify the strategy to a wider audience and emphasise it’s key points.

Taupo’s new pedal-powered ambulance
Taupo St John ambulance officer and ‘pedalmedic’, Tony More knows a thing or two about bikes. For the last 12 months he’s used his personal mountain bike, kitted out with essential medical equipment, as a first response vehicle at events to get to incidents and medical emergencies where four-wheeled ambulances can’t go.
