Are you part of the incredible Huka Trapping programme? Then you already know the difference we’re making in protecting our native birdlife along the Waikato River Corridor and Craters Mountain Bike Park.

We thought it would be good to give you a final update for the year and express our sincere thanks for the incredible work effort undertaken.

A huge shoutout to all the incredible volunteers who supported Bike Taupō at the Cycle Challenge this weekend, you’re the heart and soul of what we do!

Young riders are gearing up for a day of fun and friendly competition at the Kids Pedal Power Ride, a highlight of this weekend’s activities in Taupō. Held in conjunction with GJ Gardner, Kids Bike Taupō, and Pedal Safe, this free event promises a fantastic experience for tamariki and their families.

Kids Bike Taupō invites all our kids, big and small to join Ricky Biker and our colorful van as we roll down the parade route, spreading holiday cheer on two wheels.

Shoutout to our incredible crew who’ve been hard at work on the Waihaha Track!

Bike Taupō is more than just a group of passionate cyclists. At the heart of our kaupapa (purpose) is a vision to make cycling accessible, enjoyable, and safe for everyone and, where we can, enhance the awesome environment of our rohe.

With Term 4 just around the corner, we’re gearing up for an action-packed term full of biking fun and learning for Kids Bike Taupō. Term 4 is fully booked with Cath visiting many schools throughout the term.

As part of the rebuild within Craters Mountain Bike Park, we have had many sponsors, partners and just good buggers jumping in and getting the job done.

We’d like to say a huge thanks to the Craters of the Moon Trust who have kindly sponsored the ‘Moon Crossing’ bridge on Tourist Trap and also helped us to replace lost traps within the park.
