Update from our friends at FourB

Chatting to FourB (next to Craters MTB) owner operator, Johnny Clapcott said “we have been happy to see lots of international tourists and out of towners taking advantage of the quick work Bike Taupō did to get the Huka river trails open.

The dam loop from our base has been particularly popular. We have also noticed a larger number of people booking with us to ride the Waihaha section of the Great Lake trail which finishes off with an epic scenic boat trip to some of the waterfalls in the western Bay of the lake only accessed by boat... Last Saturday there were 45 people with Taxi Cat running multiple boat trips to get them off the beach and past the waterfalls back to Kinloch.

We are running our Locals Day on the 1st of April for this trail and are nearly fully booked with 4 trips in the one day. Thank you to all the locals who took advantage of the discounted rate.

FourB are still running trips on the Timber trail and will be hosting soldiers from the USA Army also on the 1st of April. Supplying 60 bikes so they can ride the 1st half of the Timber Trail from Pureora forest, through the amazing Native Forest and into Piropiro. The army is over for some RnR from duties internationally. If you have a group and want to do the same, get in touch with Jonny at  FourB, we have a large fleet of 36 E bikes currently so can get all riders fitness levels out on the trails…

The trails are busy with Walkers and Riders so be kind, say hi and don't "hoon" round blind corners... :
