Membership Update
Kia ora Bike Taupo Members
October/November is a busy time of year for membership renewal so here’s a few things to think about and action if neccessary.
Some memberships will automatically renew (only if you have set your account with a reoccurring subscription) so PLEASE READ any EMAIL NOTICES that come from Hivepass regarding your memberships and make any changes via the app before renewals are due to take place as this incurs additional administration costs.
If you are not on a subscription, your membership will expire (after 12 months) and you will then be asked to renew, so please follow the prompts to do so.
ALL NEW, OR RENEWED ONLINE MEMBERSHIPS ARE VALID FOR 12 MONTHS FROM THE TIME OF RENEWAL.
Please check your membership details are current and correct and if you need any assistance, please let us know.
If you have already renewed you membership, you should receive a notification and your new tags will be sent shortly.
Tag colour - Yellow is our last batch of dated tags now that we have moved into a rolling 12 month system. We want to reduce our waste and avoid sending new tags to everyone every single year..
Soon we will introduce a new BLUE tag that wont have any dates on it and you will be asked to keep it for a little longer than 12 months. There is a slight delay but they will be coming shortly in the post so just keep your existing tags on your bikes in the meantime. Our forest crew know there will be a mix of yellow and the new colour tags riding in the park.
Craters Mountain Bike Park is a purpose-built mountain bike park and Bike Taupō is licensed by the Crown to manage the Park.
A condition of this licence is that:
All users (not only cyclists) of Craters MTB Park must be a member of Bike Taupo and agree to the terms and conditions of using the forest.
All proceeds from membership help to pay for the maintenance and upgrades of the trails within the park.
Joining Bike Taupō also automatically joins you to the Taupo MTB Club. Our local MTB club is active over the summer months with events and your membership to Bike Taupo gives you a discounted rate on entry fees!
