Kids Bike Taupō Christmas Wrap up

What a year for Kids Bike Taupō and what a year for rehoming Bikes!!!

If you have ever wondered what happens to your donated bikes and accessories, we can assure you that the outcome is such a positive one and it makes a true impact to the community.

The good bikes that we continue to have donated to us get the 'once over' from Phil and are then passed on to the right people. We receive some monetary return of whatever the new owners can afford, and everyone is happy.

Thank you to everyone who has donated their bikes. Please feel good that they are being well loved and many have been re-donated to go around again, especially the little ones as kids grow.  It's kind of like a bike library.

This year there have been 11,260 'rides' recorded in the Kids Bike Taupo Program, with 406 of them riding independently for the first time. That’s one of the biggest numbers ever recorded in the ten years we've been going. People 'get' it!

We’d like to acknowledge the great people that work alongside Cath including all the schools from preschool to tertiary and everything in between. Thank you to the Taupō BMX Club who are a huge supporter of Bike Taupō.

The Crown Park Pump track has been a huge game changer for the program providing a really great space for kids to learn to ride and have some fun!

Cath is loving being back at Craters and we hope to see you there too in 2024!

SUMMER/HOLIDAY KIDS SESSIONS TIMES

Kids Bike Taupō sessions will take a break over the Xmas/New Year period. Our final session for 2023 is on Thursday 21st at Crown Park. Sessions resume on Monday 8th Jan 2024 at the BMX Club. Check out the Bike Taupō website for all the session information and updates.

Cath would like to extend her thanks to everyone who has supported KBT throughout the past 12 months. All your support is greatly appreciated.

Have a wonderful Xmas and New Year holiday.
