Become a Partner

With the epic Great Lake Trail almost complete, we are on the edge of of a exciting cycling revolution. We're also busy with advocacy, maintaining our existing tracks and the Kids Bike Taupō programme  which all need energy and money. We wish to collaborate  with businesses and organisations in our region to form partnerships that are beneficial to both parties.

Our MTB tracks are predominantly made of pumice, the ultimate free draining substrate that gives our region an advantage over others as they can be ridden at any time of the year. By offering facilities that encourage visits year round but more significantly in the shoulder and off peak seasons, the economic benefits across our region will be significant. Cycling has become a global trend so expect to see more domestic, semi domestic (Aussies) and international visitors in our region having fun. They are already starting to come and a significant increase in  Australian visitors on bikes has been noticed. Check out one of their reviews. The Rotorua airport now offers direct flights to Sydney with cyclists coming for long weekends and spending time in both Rotorua and Taupō. It's not just cyclists that are hitting our tracks but also a large number of walkers and runners. It's all exciting stuff.

There are various ways businesses and organisations can  get involved and include but are not restricted to:
