TVNZ Breakfast Show's roving weather presenter Tamati Coffey is on a  "Transport Tiki Tour" of New Zealand and is heading to Taupo.
His aim: to find the Top "One Less Car on the Road' Town. We want to see how local kiwis are doing their bit for the environment and keeping cars off the road.

Are you a keen cyclist, walker, roller-blader or scooter-er? Come down, meet Tamati and showcase your preferred mode of eco-friendly transport! 
On Thursday, 4 June 2009, Tamati will be filming the show from the Rose Gardens, Cnr of Tongariro Street & Lake Terrace, from 6.30am.

There will be great spot prizes for locals who come down and bring their form of sustainable transport with them.
Details of the 5 live crosses:
 - 6.40am: short cross (30secs) - set up morning, Tamati introduces location.
 - 7.10am: short cross (30 secs) - expand on previous introduction - list Taupo's transport options
 - 7.40am: interview cross - talk to local groups/ crowds, members of public
 - 8.10am: short cross - talking to local cycling groups, and kids
 - 8.40am: interview cross - giveaway spot prizes, wrap up

So, come down and show your support - the more cyclists we can get, the better!
