Sunday, 06 May 2012

Looking for 3 or 4 extra bikers who can help out marshaling the night shift at the Moon Ride on the 12th of May. Start at about 3:pm and go until 10:pm

Just need good lights and are happy to ride for a few hours. We can provide the transport up If any body's doing the 6 hour then want to carry on and help that works even better

Murray will provide you a meal and coffee and we will help with a few bucks if you have to take a car through

The funding we get goes towards the track maintenance and rebuilding  and if ever we are going to need a few dollars its going to be in the next few months

LOGGING in Owen Delany Park

As a result of recent wind damage, Taupo District Council is engaging contractors to remove fallen, broken and standing timber from the forestry woodlots around Owen Delany Park. Logging is expected to commence on 14 May 2012 and to continue until the end of June. Logging operations will occur from Monday to Friday during this period, and are scheduled to finish by 3.30pm on each working day. Heavy machinery will be used, and logging trucks may be encountered within the park and on the new road to the SPCA and Pound.

For safety reasons, the public are advised to avoid all woodlot areas in Owen Delany Park, particularly while logging operations are in progress, and to have regard to all on-site warnings. Tracks connecting the Rotary Ride track and Spa Hotel grounds with Owen Delany Park will be closed during this period. All other facilities and sports fields will be open for normal use.

regards
