Huka Cycles Summer Series
By popular demand, the race courses for the Summer Series MTB races at Wairakei Forest are changing for the last 3 weeks. Click on Read more below to get the full story.

Please remember to bring your number plate so that we are not issuing additional number plates. All members ride free. Non-members $5.00 per race. We will have membership forms at registration to fill out for 2012 membership.

The Huka Cycles Summer Series - AKA "The Worlds" starts this Thursday 12th January and runs for 9 consecutive weeks. This year the Taupo Mountain Bike Club has elected to run two separate courses (Short Course/Long Course) thereby replacing the old 1 lap/2 lap format.
Kids Course
LHL > Squirt > Q Line Rd > SH Fun > Bumble Bee > Q Line Rd > Ferret > Tourist Trap
Short Course
LHL > Tank Stand > Coaster > LHL > Squirt > Q Line Rd > SH Fun > Bumble Bee > Q Line Rd > Ferret > Tourist Trap
Long Course
LHL > Tank Stand > Karapiti Rd > Young Pines > Stage Left > Young Pines > Outback > Chain Link > Slalom > Incline > Coaster > LHL > Squirt > Q Line Rd > SH Fun > Bumble Bee > Q Line Rd > Ferret > Tourist Trap
You can see that the Long Course is getting longer & tougher. The MTB Club committee suggests that if you are taking over 1 hour to complete the previous Long Course, then we strongly recommend that you race the Short Course option from now on. Please sort this out on-the-night when you register.
