Cycle Helmets Save Heads! PDF Print

Josh Williams will back us up on this statement - "Cycle Helmets Save Heads".

Josh was competing in a recent MTB Fun Ride in Wairakei Forest, and came off as we all do at times.  And young Josh became intimately aquainted with a rather large, solid and immovable tree.  His helmet shattered in the impact, saving him from a certain head injury.

Josh did lose some skin, and  his face sure would have been sore for a few days, but at least skin grows back.

NEVER RIDE WITHOUT A HELMET,  FOLKS.  HEADS ARE WORTH PROTECTING.

Huka Honda very kindly donated a new helmet to Josh after this wee incident.

As we say, Josh would have been sore for a while.  But it was only a matter of days before he was back on his bike again, wearing his new helmet, and keen to compete again.

The shattered helmet, after having done its job of saving Josh from a head injury.

His new helmet was very kindly donated by Huka Honda.
