The tunnel clean out
has been set for: Saturday the 16th starting at 09:00

What to bring
Shovel and a
Wheelbarrow, rake if you have one, plus $2.00 bucks for the "How long will it take ?" - sweep stake.
What you have to do
Shovel and
Wheelbarrow about 37 meters of pumice out of the tunnel. Plus we need to dig a
trench down stream of the little pipe |
Where ?
Meet on the reserve between Helistar Helicopters and the SH1 / Craters of the Moon Road intersection.
How many ?
As many as possible
please, then we can all go home early or enjoy some food & drink on location...
Who is
needed ?
Anybody! We will have
jobs for everybody from loading to pushing to raking to talking about it (so
that's Mum, Dad and the Kids)
Why are we doing it ?
Someone's going to
die on the intersection one day. This underpass will save someone's, if not your
life.
What we will
provide:
Lunch and if the
budget is not blown some light refreshments
How long ?
Can't say otherwise
you may win the sweep stake, but we are thinking about 3 to 4 hours (don't
hold me to this). Turn up, even if its only for a hour or if you are late. It
all helps and its great to see some more people coming down the hill to help us,
when we are getting a bit stuffed.
