Bike Taupo members are always apreciate Cafe's in the area for their "Bike Friendlieness". Criteria included for example:

- Maps available
- Water Bottle refill available
- Mud caked faces and pants OK ?
- Staff local knowledge
- Major Sponsor

You may be aware that the Cottage Cafe has recently changed its name .... to Crouton.

We still offer the same fantastic service, the best coffee and stupendous food. But it's now even better!

We've got some suberb new additions to our menu, a great range of beers and wines (supplied by the Merchant of Taupo) and some wonderful aspects just for cyclists:

these include bike stands
loads of secure parking for bikes and cars
and of course the $2 coffee deal exclusive to Bike Taupo members.
Cyclists are welcome to park their cars within our huge grounds whilst they knock off the challenges of W2K or Kawakawa.

We have loads of outdoor tables and umbrellas to sit and enjoy our tranquil rural setting without frazzling your bits. It's all good.
